The tradition

For three centuries, the workshops of Torre del Greco have turned the Mediterranean’s red coral and carved shell into wearable art. It is one of Italy’s most singular and concentrated crafts, passed bench to bench within a single town on the Bay of Naples. These are the houses keeping it alive.
